Background
I am currently an
instructor in the Exercise Science Department at Cuyamaca College and an ACE certified Personal Trainer. I have a Master of
Science degree in Exercise Science with an emphasis in Health Promotion from Brigham Young University. My work experience
has provided me with opportunities to design exercise conditioning programs for individual clients as well as large groups
such as the U.S. Navy SEAL trainees and the U.S. Navy and U.S Marine Corps recruits. I have authored publications
for the American Council on Exercise (ACE) and several professional journals. My research work has enabled me to apply the
principles of exercise physiology to reduce training injuries and improve fitness outcomes.
